Everything around us was created with purpose and beauty. Photography is a way for us to slow down, notice those details, and capture what God has already called “very good.”
What is Photography? 📸
Photography means “drawing with light.” Every photo you take is created using light, your camera, and your creativity.
Photographers don’t just take pictures…
They tell stories, capture moments, and show beauty that others might miss.
Camera Basics (Super Simple!)
Whether you’re using a phone or a camera, these basics apply:
1. Hold Your Camera Steady
Use both hands. Try not to shake!
2. Find Good Lighting
Light is everything!
- Face the light (don’t stand with bright light behind your subject)
- Natural light is your best friend ☀️
3. Focus on Your Subject
Tap your screen (or press halfway on a camera) to focus.
4. Keep It Simple
Make sure your main subject is clear and not too cluttered.

Find and take pictures of:
- Something bright
- Something small
- Something that makes you smile
- Something colorful
- Something you think is beautiful
Try different angles and get creative!

Take your favorite photo from the scavenger hunt and share it with the class.

- Why did you choose it?
