Activity
Students will create a sample yearbook page to practice using TreeRing. The goal is not to make a finished yearbook page yet. This is a chance to experiment and learn where the tools are.
Their practice page should include:
- A page title
- At least 3 photos
- At least one text box
- A background or design element
- Photos arranged in an organized layout
Encourage students to experiment with moving, resizing, cropping, and arranging their elements.
Class Discussion:
What was easy to find in TreeRing? What was difficult? What tools do you think we will use the most while creating our yearbook?
Homework:
Login and work on your two page spread in TreeRing. Focus on learning the program and creating a clean, organized layout. Submit a screenshot of your spread.
