Kahoot + Mini Project

Proverbs 1:5

“Let the wise hear and increase learning.”

Focus: Review Photoshop tools learned so far

Today we are going to review the Photoshop skills we have learned and then put those skills together in a creative project. Proverbs 1:5 reminds us that wise people continue learning. Even when we have already learned something, reviewing and practicing helps us become better at it.

Part 1: Kahoot Review

We will play a Kahoot reviewing the Photoshop skills we have practiced, including layers, selections, moving and resizing objects, removing backgrounds, and replacing backgrounds.

As we play, pay attention to questions you miss. The goal is not just to win. The goal is to discover what you remember and what you need to practice.

Part 2: Creative Mini Project

Create your own Photoshop design using the skills you have learned so far. You have creative freedom, so make something fun and original.

Your project should include:

  • At least 3 separate layers
  • At least 2 different images
  • An object or person that has been selected and cut out
  • A removed or replaced background
  • Objects that have been moved, resized, or arranged
  • Text, such as a title, phrase, or name
  • A creative idea that makes the design your own

Project Ideas: Put yourself in space, create a movie poster, design a fantasy world, make an album cover, create a funny scene, or design an advertisement.

Before You Finish: Check your Layers panel, make sure your selections and cutouts look clean, check that everything is positioned correctly, and save your Photoshop file.

Homework

Finish your creative mini project if you do not complete it during class. Submit design as a jpg through Google Classroom.
